CrowdSec selected as part of inaugural Google for Startups Growth Academy: Cybersecurity cohort
CrowdSec, the open-source collaborative cybersecurity solution, has been selected as part of the inaugural cohort of startups to partake in Google for Startups Growth Academy: Cybersecurity. Announced at Google’s Fostering Cyber Innovation and Security in Europe event in Brussels, Belgium, this three-month program provides cybersecurity startups with essential growth skills, internationalization strategies, and Google tools & products to help them scale.
As part of the Growth Academy, CrowdSec co-founder and CEO Philippe Humeau will work with a mix of Google and external industry experts in a series of workshops, receiving mentoring across strategy, sales, and partnerships. While the program is hybrid, two further face-to-face events will be held with the founders in other European cities. To qualify for the Growth Academy, CrowdSec, which completed its €14M Series A funding round in October 2022 and has 100,000+ users, had to fulfill requirements in the area of fundraising, international scalability, usership and cybersecurity capabilities. The Paris-based threat intelligence company offers participative behavioral protection from malicious IP addresses, leveraging the power of its user base to identify and defend against bad cybersecurity actors.
“As we continue developing our technical stack and expanding our network & community, being a part of this program has come at exactly the right time,” said Humeau. “We are at a pivotal moment for cybersecurity, so being recognized by Google and getting to learn alongside fellow rising stars and new innovators in the space is in line with our philosophy of there being strength in collaboration.”
The Google for Startups Growth Academy: Cybersecurity program begins in April – additional information on CrowdSec can be found at CrowdSec.net.
